Dartingtonhall medics

What do you get when you combine a 14th century hall in Devon, 185 medical students halfway through their training & a photobooth? Answer: A bunch of doctors-to-be confirming all theories that laughter really is the best medicine! If you don’t believe me, check out these pecs… oops, I mean pics!! Click here!

If you have ever had the good fortune to visit the impressive Dartington Hall Estate near Totnes in Devon you will appreciate its size and the slight difficulty we had in tracking down the correct building to park up and unload the photo booth. But, worth the all the effort as we found it to be another fantastic building to add to our already totally awesome collection of venues!

Last Saturday night we were booked to deliver the photo booth to The Halfway Ball for the hardworking medical students who attend the Peninsular College of Medicine & Dentistry which was held at the medieval Great Hall at Dartington Hall. We love a bit of historical background, here at Yellow booth and were in awe to find our newest venue was once the home to Sir Arthur Champernowne – Queen Elizabeth I’s Vice Admiral of the West and to his descendants for over 300 years. Today, we’ve discovered it is the home of the Dartington Hall charitable trust for the arts, sustainability and justice holding educational activities throughout the year.

Moving forward several hundred years, our medical photo booth visitors were celebrating being halfway through their training endeavours and looking very glamorous too! Our shiny black party booth didn’t stop until the DJ played his last tune and everyone was carted off by the busload back to their beds. What an illustrious night – thank you Rebecca for booking us for your spectacular ball!  Caz & Laurence from Yellow booth x
