A stunning riverside wedding venue – The Boathouse in Bath.
Last night we took a trip up to The Boathouse riverside pub & rooms in Bath for the wedding of Mali & Tim Stevens and had a lovely time!
Tim & Mali – newly wed!!
The happy newlyweds turned out to be the warmest and friendliest of couples and insistent from the moment we met them that we were to get stuck into all the goodies. We looked around – we were SURROUNDED by goodies! At every turn there were giant plates laden with cakes – a fantasy of all things sponge!
That wedding cake! Zowee! Hope it tasted as good as it looked and smelled!!
You’ve heard of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, this was a case of Mali & the Chocolate (& lemon & cherry & scone!) Factory. But all were home made and delicious!
Readers of my yellowbooth blog will be familiar with my love affair with the wonderful world of sponge! Sponge cakes, rainbow cake, lemon drizzle. Mali & Tim had it all! Succulent lemon drizzle, tasty scones & clotted cream and the huge multi-tiered sponge wedding cake – caked in fruit and cream – one whiff and I was a gonna!
This was a wedding that cost me some mega calories – hey ho I’ll sign up with a gym on Monday !
Fun in the booth!
Fun outside of the booth, too!
Mali in the booth!
The highlight of the night was when the band came on – with our groom Tim on the guitar and mike and the bridesmaid on keyboards. A unique wedding night – everyone danced, what remained of the night, away. We all loved it!!
During the latter end of the evening after cleaning up all those pesky loose feathers we said our goodbyes and Mali generously packed a huge box with her luxury orange and blue cupcakes for our breakfast! Love the thought of that – cake for breaky! Could be the start of a new morning regime in the Yellowbooth household.
Congratulations Mali & Tim! It was so lovely to meet you both!!
