For the couple getting married in need of a large wedding venue with the WOW factor on the Downton Abbey spectrum, we present to you eighteenth century Scorrier House in the county of Cornwall – Cornwall’s most romantic wedding venue.
As jobbing Yellowbooth photoboothers for many busy years, we have been booked at Scorrier House on several occasions – each time was UNIQUE because the wedding was unique!

On the first occasion, it was a lovely sunny day and one of our photo booths was hired for a wedding reception at the house, the wedding breakfast took place at the adjacent marquee and the main hall was the place to be in the evening! The stylish black photobooth was booked and set up to the left of the main hall with Australian themed props. The guests all seemed to enjoy watching our viewing screen and were kept entertained all evening long – purely just enjoying watching the fun that the other guests were getting up to. End of the evening a pizza van appeared! It was very popular!!
On another occasion we found ourselves returning to Scorrier House, with everything from the wedding breakfast to the evening reception happening in the central space of the magnificent main hall. We set up the photo booth in the same corner as last time. This time we found we were slightly short on space but made sure everyone enjoyed having a photo or two for the couple’s guestbook.
The next time we were booked, we tried setting up in the entrance way of the Scorrier House – just outside of the main party room but an ideal location for catching passers by. Due to lack of space, we were game to try an alternative spot – and it worked a treat! The family and friends loved the vw camper photo booth and loved the hospitality of Scorrier House!
About the house … it really is an amazing find and situated within 400 acres of park land toward the western end of Cornwall. Easy location for popping across to the beach at Porthowan – just 3 miles away with other popular spots like the Minack Theatre, the Eden Project and Falmouth a short journey away.
The history of the house is fascinating and begin its days as the home of the mining tycoon John William’s home from 1780. It has remained a Williams family home 5 generations on with Richard and Caroline living on the estate. The couple have 15 years experience in the wedding game and are there to help make your wedding day run smoothly. I met Caroline and she’s a lovely lady.
To help share the atmosphere of Scorrier House post as well as pre your wedding, there is enough room for around 20 guests both at the house and at Stable house on the grounds.

Your wedding ceremony can either take place in the Main Hall with those famous stairs or outside in the sunshine. The house provides the perfect backdrop and blank canvas onto which to base your ideas and inspiration upon.
